What is the ECOES MultiCharger Box
The ECOES MultiCharger Box is a budget variant of the mobile ECOES MultiCharger, which is mounted on a trailer or a truck and designed to work as an independent, self-contained point for serving customers. The budget ECOES MultiCharger Box has no customer service zone with vending machines, no WC and no room with a bed for the operator. It has a diesel AC generator powering two DC fast chargers that charge one or two cars with 60 kW (1 x 60 kW, 2 x 30 kW). The MultiCharger Box can also be offered with a single 30–40 kW DC charger, but that puts the business at risk. With two DC chargers, if one fails the MultiCharger Box keeps working with the other. With only one DC charger, the business stops until the fault is repaired. That is why we offer the MultiCharger Box with two DC chargers.

Mobility and use
The ECOES MultiCharger Box comes as a box with two DC fast chargers. It is placed on a small truck, a pickup or a trailer. This configuration is about 2 times cheaper than the mobile ECOES MultiCharger. It is efficient enough for charging in areas with too few charging stations, and very well suited to countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Backup power and a stationary charging station
A major advantage of the ECOES MultiCharger Box is that it can be used as backup power for sites, with AC 230/400 V, 60 kW. Many companies, hotels, motels, roadside restaurants and other sites have diesel generators for backup power during power cuts. These backup generators stand idle 99% of the time, which turns buying them into an idle investment. If these idle diesel generators are replaced with the ECOES MultiCharger Box, they can be used both for backup power and as stationary charging stations that bring in revenue. With the ECOES MultiCharger Box, hotels, motels, petrol stations and other roadside businesses gain extra customers and revenue from charging cars. Charging an electric car takes 30–40 minutes, which turns its passengers into sure customers of the roadside business.
Gross profit
The price of diesel differs substantially between continents and countries. The average price of diesel in the fourth quarter of 2026 is 2.0 EUR/L incl. VAT in Europe, 1.66 USD/L (1.48 EUR/L) in North America, 1.50 USD/L (1.34 EUR/L) in Africa, 1.30 USD/L (1.16 EUR/L) in Latin America, and so on. Such large differences make it impossible to calculate a profitability valid for all countries. That is why we determine the profitability on the basis of diesel prices in Europe; for the other continents and countries the profitability will be proportional to the one calculated for Europe.
Using the method for determining the gross profit of the ECOES MultiCharger – a price in Europe of 0.60 EUR/kWh for electricity produced by a diesel generator, with a selling price of 1.20 EUR/kWh, and a grid electricity price of 0.30 EUR/kWh with a selling price of 0.90 EUR/kWh, without revenue from a customer service zone – gives the following results, with a gross profit of 0.60 EUR/kWh.

LPG & PNG (methane) ECOES MultiCharger Box
LPG MultiCharger Box
In some countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America the price of LPG is about 2 times lower than the price of diesel. Customers in these countries running the MultiCharger and the MultiCharger Box in stationary mode can order the generators with LPG engines. Running on LPG, which is about 2 times cheaper than diesel, will lead to a significant reduction in the price of the DC electricity sold for fast charging cars, while keeping the franchisee’s gross profit.
For stationary operation, the ECOES MultiCharger Box can be fitted with an above-ground LPG tank of 5,000 or 10,000 litres. This LPG tank can be equipped with a pump for filling cars with LPG. Combined charging of cars with DC electricity and LPG turns any hotel or roadside business (motel, restaurant, etc.) into a real filling station for cars. Diesel and petrol are sold everywhere, but DC charging and LPG are not found so often. With the MultiCharger and the MultiCharger Box working in stationary mode on LPG, you offer something other charging stations do not offer.

Equipping hotels and roadside businesses with an LPG filling system gives the franchisee and the site the following additional advantages:
- Building a filling station for cars with DC fast charging and LPG at a fraction of the cost of building such a station from scratch.
- Much lower prices for the AC electricity produced, and DC charging sold to customers at lower prices.
- Additional profit from selling two kinds of fuel (DC electricity and LPG).
- A wider circle of customers who want DC charging and LPG. The drivers and passengers of these cars are sure customers of the site.
- Using the MultiCharger and the MultiCharger Box for backup or main power for the site, with cheap electricity produced from LPG.
- With an LPG tank of 5,000–10,000 litres, the hotel or roadside business can be supplied with cheap LPG for heating, kitchen stoves and boilers, which will cut the site’s costs considerably.
- Filling an LPG tank of 5,000–10,000 litres makes it possible to buy LPG at wholesale prices, which lowers the delivered prices further.
Using the LPG MultiCharger and MultiCharger Box in stationary mode with an LPG tank and a filling system for cars has a strong positive synergy effect for the site: additional revenue from more cars filling up at lower prices, more customers, and lower energy costs for the site.
PNG (methane) MultiCharger Box
Supplying a stationary MultiCharger Box with PNG (Pipeline Natural Gas – methane) through a pipe is the most economical way to produce DC electricity for fast charging cars. This kind of supply is only possible, however, where a gas network exists and the site is connected to it. Delivering and running a PNG MultiCharger Box within the ecosystem of ECOES Franchise is entirely possible.
Transport
The equipment for combined charging of cars with DC electricity and LPG, including the LPG pump and the tank – which can also be used for heating, hot water and other everyday needs of hotels, roadside businesses and other sites – is shipped in a container to any point in the world.
